Don't suppose anyone can think of a commercial fishery that's reachable by public transport from Bristol?
My mate who does the driving can't fish for the next month!!!!

Hi Davey
There is a new four lake fishery called Windmill Fisheries, right next to Westerleigh road, and situated approx midway between the ring road at Downend and Westerleigh village. The entrance to the fishery complex is directly opposite the two garden centres on the main westerleigh road. .... I'm not sure whether it is on a bus route or not but a call to the fishery would probably give you an answer.
I walked round it at the beginning of this season just after it had opened and was quite impressed with the facilities and the variety of fishing on offer. IMO it needs to mature but the stocking levels have been really high with good weights reported.

I've just tried the link that I took off their flyer, and it doesn't work!!!!!
I'll try the phone now.... That took me through to their golf academy, so they gave me the fishery managers mobile number, which worked.

Bullock is ok but for my commi day sessions I prefer plantations personally. I haven't tried acorn yet there's something about it I just don't fancy, not sure why it has some nice fish ect. For my night sessions I like the challenge of ham green near Pill.

I don't like Bullock - full of big goldfish:/
Never heard of Plantation - will look into it. Maybe it's the chalets along the pegs at Acorn? Looks very comfy but very odd!
Dunno how I'm fixed next week yet. Any idea what day you're thinking of?
Off to give Windmill a go tomorrow. Finally! Not been out since middle of April:/
