Fox specialist landing net

Postby RICH PARSONS » 27 Jun 2010 09:40

Hi all,
I have been using the above landing net for the last year but when I was cleaning it this morning I found that the threaded metal insert was coming out of the spreader block! In fact it was that bad that it just came out with a very light pull :o
What made it worse was there was no evidence it ever had any glue or bonding holding it together!
Has any one else had this problem?
I used to get a lot of Fox stuff but this is about the 3rd item I have got in a year that has broken and though these have not been that expensive (apart from the net) it is more the hasssle of bringing extra bits and bobs encase of a brakeage.
I would try and glue it but I now have no confidence that it wont happen again so for the time being I'll be going back to a old Abu carp net.

Hi James,
I'm terrible when things brake on me as I end up replacing them as I never have the confidence in it after I have fixed it.
I also had a old fox oval net (the same as the one that broken but black) and it was far more robust that was till I wore a hole in it on my a trolley wheel

Hi all,
Well I thought I'd have a go at fixing the net and all though it's not as pretty as it once was I think it will be fit for use.
Though I will still be keeping the trusty carp just encase
