Limpley Stoke bait

How about a halibut pellet on a hair rig with a pva bag of broken up halibut pellets that have been soaked in hemp oil (I've actually got a bottle of hemp oil and halibut together).
I don't know much about this venue other than it is fishing less well now (perhaps due to otter predation). I am trying to catch my first barbel. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Nothing wrong with your tactics Stewart, but there a bit few and far between these days at Limpley. :( :( but good luck and stick at it Stewart.

Would you suggest I fish elsewhere (I don't really want to travel too far)?

Limpley still produces a few barbel a season but my advice would be to keep mobile and give each swim 20 mins if barbel are there it wont take long for them to grab the bait.
