Wouldnt entertain Greys,as Mark stated they are prone to snaping, not that i have had a greys barbel rod,but i did have a set of Greys Prodigy SX carp rods and one snapped on me,I swear by my Harrison Torrix TE Specials for my carp fishing i also belive the Harrison Torrix barbel blank is of top quality and one of if not the best rod,as i have only recently started barbel angling im useing an old Drennan Legermaster and i find it a nice enough rod to use,However i am planning on buying myself 2 new barbel rods for next season not sure what yet as the funds are a littel tight and the torrix blanks are 240+ a pop i dont think i could afford them with out selling my Torrix carp rods an thats never gunna happen. So could any one recomend a quality barbel rod suitabel for the river Taff, the wye, severn ,trent and the Avon for around £100 - £150 each without recomending greys pleas guys, many thanks Matt
