Joking aside......the Kingfisher is a truly beautiful and iconic bird.....My favourite and I love 'em :)

Hi all,
Great pics, I love watching them fly the way the follow the river.
But most all I like the way they seem to see line and rod tips and move out of the way so fast.
How do they see things that fast.

Hi Rich

I've often wondered how they do it.......Their speed and agility is awesome, the way they fly through overhanging tree branches without slowing down, just amazes me........Respect for that bird !!!!

Truly amazing camera work....How do they get these shots :o :?:

I wish I could apply the same amount of patience and dedication to my fishing

aye true, ive seen where a pair are nesting this year and has been great to watch them go in and out, its great when they land on your rod, for a few seconds they dont realise i'm there, but are soon off when they do, stunning picture. halcyon days indeed.
